Chemistry For Kids
Chemistry For Kids How to Make Science Topics Fun For Kids ChaptersChemistry For Kids: Every Child Is Capable6 Ways To Help Your Kids Learn Chemistry At HomeFun Chemistry Experiments For KidsAll children have their own preferences and likes when it comes to the subjects that they learn about at school. Some children, for instance, may take easily to art and English classes, while others prefer history or languages. Some children may even prefer maths and the sciences over other subjects.Although every child is different, and as such will like different subjects compared to their peers, often the more scientific subjects on a schoolâs curriculum have a reputation for being:Unpopular;Difficult; or evenBoring.Chemistry, unfortunately, seems to have fallen into this category and as a result is classed by many as a âdifficultâ subject. While itâs understandable that some children may be averse to the sciences â" for example, if their maths skills arenât quite up to par â" thereâs no reason why the vast majority of children shouldnâ t be able to do well in their chemistry lessons, regardless of whether they would like to pursue chemistry at A-Level, university, or beyond. One way that the sciences such as chemistry can gain back their reputation as being âfunâ subjects is to try and encourage children, even from a young age, to take an active interest in chemistry, maths, and the other sciences. Doing this should hopefully make the subject feel more accessible to every child, and hopefully will improve that childâs chances of doing well in the subject at school. With that in mind, below are a few ways that could be used to encourage children to be more engaged with the world of chemistry, and hopefully by implication its neighbouring subjects.Having a good grasp of maths can be really helpful when teaching children about science topics for kids. (Image Source: CC0 1.0, Pexels, Pixabay)Havenât mastered particular areas of maths, which are used to solve chemical equations; orThey havenât grasped the basic s of chemistry, such as chemical bonding, chemical states, the differences between acids and alkalis, or the difference between a molecule and an atom.Thankfully, such issues can be easily rectified, especially if a child is taught about such topics or concepts early on.For example, if youâve noticed that your child appears to be struggling in maths, then it might be an idea to get them a tutor, such as a tutor from Superprof, to help bring their knowledge in line with expectations.Equally, you could encourage your child to learn about the basics of chemistry through more interactive media, whether thatâs listening to a podcast by the Royal Society of Chemistry or reading an educational book about chemistry that is aimed at children, such as the Horrible Science book series.Read more about how to teach chemistry to children.Children can learn a lot about chemistry for kids from the comfort of their own home. (Image Source: CC0 1.0, manbob86, Pixabay)6 Ways To Help Your Kids Lear n Chemistry At HomeOf course, another great way to inspire your child to learn more about the world of chemistry is to have them learn more about the subject at home. This approach can help regardless of whether your child is currently too young to attend school or is currently studying chemistry through a school curriculum.By having your child learn about chemistry outside of school, you can help develop or tease out any interest that your child has in the subject, which should in turn help to:Improve their marks in chemistry lessons (if they currently have chemistry lessons);Reinforce the idea that sciences donât have to be boring to study; andMake your child more receptive to further study in a science such as physics, chemistry, or biology, and perhaps even excited about a potential future career as a chemist or a scientist.Broadly speaking, six good tips to help develop your childâs interest in chemistry outside of the classroom include:Spending extra time on homework assig nments when at home;Watching educational programmes that help develop a childâs understanding of the principles of chemistry;Playing around with different chemistry sets at home;Trying out a safe, home-made chemistry experiment or two using household ingredients;Reading a range of chemistry books that are designed with younger readers in mind; andTaking your child to a science museum or science-based event such as a science fair.If you want to set up a chemistry set for your child, remember that you don't need to necessarily buy lots of measuring beakers, tests tubes, or even a microscope, as the aim isn't to recreate a full science laboratory. Equally, you might even find a chemistry set that you can buy in the shops if you don't feel comfortable creating your own.Look up for the best chemistry tutors on Superprof. For some ideas of fun educational programmes that you could introduce your child to, there is a range of programmes out there, which you can often find through a quic k search on the internet. These programmes also come in a variety of lengths. The BBC, for instance, has some short videos which can be helpful in learning about some basics in chemistry such as the periodic table. On the other hand, programmes such as Bill Nye the Science Guy are a little longer and cover a range of topics. So whether your child enjoys watching a science demonstration that teaches them about basic chemistry such as atoms and atomic structure, or they prefer to watch a more active science experiment featuring fizzy drinks, bubbles or bright colours, there's a good chance that there's a programme out there that will satisfy their curiosity. There are lots of different fun chemistry experiments out there! (Image Source: CC0 1.0, PIRO4D, Pixabay)Fun Chemistry Experiments For KidsFinally, one of the best ways you can teach your children about the world of chemistry, and hopefully develop their interest in the subject, is through the use of chemistry experiments.Letâs fac e it â" chemistry experiments are fun. Often, they involve a variety of chemical reactions that usually look quite cool or are dramatic visually-speaking.Itâs for this reason that chemistry experiments are a great way to introduce your child to the world of chemistry or to help teach them further about particular topics in chemistry, such as the states of matter, which comprise solids, liquids, and gases.Find an A Level chemistry tutor online. There are plenty of different science experiments that you can try with your child, with just a few suggestions below:The Mentos and Diet Coke volcano, or volcano using baking soda and vinegar;Creating and testing invisible ink;Making slime, a rocket, or sugar crystals; orExperimenting with static electricity or magnets. However, before you undertake any science experiments with your child, it's important to make sure of the following:That the area is safe to use for any experimenting (for instance, you donât want to make a Mentos and Diet Coke volcano anywhere indoors, unless you want to soak the room!);That the materials used in the science experiment are safe for both you and your child; andThat the experiment is age-appropriate for your child and that your child has appropriate supervision.Get a chemistry tutor Glasgow from Superprof.Of course, this list is not exhaustive, but the aim is to make sure that you and your child experience some fun science while also remaining safe as you conduct and observe the science experiment. If you need any help teaching your child more about chemistry, then remember that itâs also perfectly acceptable to reach out for help. Speaking to a chemistry teacher for some ideas on fun experiments, for instance, can be a great way to find fun ideas for experiments that you may not have thought of yourself or found online.Equally, you can always reach out to a chemistry tutor on Superprof if youâd also like to help your child learn about the principles of chemistry in a more structure d way. Lessons can either be held remotely or online, so itâs just a case of deciding which tuition method would work best for you and your child.

The 10 Most Difficult Piano Pieces
The 10 Most Difficult Piano Pieces What are the Hardest Piano Pieces to Play? ChaptersClassical music and its virtuoso piecesPop music and how difficulty serves successTackle the harder pieces to learn the pianoWhen you begin piano lessons, most of the time the goal is of the course is to progress as quickly and as well as possible. You want to acquire the strongest bases, to then go on playing the pieces that you like. And let's be clear, most pianists are looking to play the songs they've heard and would like to remake, or just a legendary melody, to do just like the best pianists. But the pianist has an ego and pride. To prove he is worthy, he will also go for difficult pieces, even very difficult. They don't necessarily fit his personal tastes. But they will give a status, a rank, to the one who plays them. What's on your repertoire? These difficult pieces can be categorized in different ways in the world of the piano. In order to give a sympathetic side to this article, we will go through classic pieces, and varieties, known or unknown. And you'll see that aft erwards, you will inevitably go to your keyboard to learn one, or even all.By reading this article, you will understand better how to become a piano virtuoso!Join the discussion: who do you think are the best pianists in the world? Will you become a virtuoso pianist? | Pedro Vezini via Visual HuntThere is often a tendency to say that the classical music pieces composed by the best pianists in the world are the most difficult to play. Fortunately, many classical pieces are also used for learning the piano. But of course, some justify this reputation.Symphony No. 5 by Beethoven (1804-1808)A legendary piece, composed by a genius musician. You have probably already heard these notes in the films The Longest Day or Saturday Night Fever.Composed of four movements (Allegro con Brio, Andante con moto, Scherzo, and the Finale), and lasting approximately forty minutes, the fifth symphony of Beethoven is one of the Austrian's masterpieces. For the anecdote, the music was composed during the Napol eonic wars, while Austria was invaded by France. As for Beethoven, then in his thirties, he is more and more affected by deafness.A few years later, this symphony was designated as a reference work, and one of the most popular of classical music.Beethoven inspired many artists. John Travolta can testify.Piano Sonata No. 18 in D major (W.A Mozart)There is no need to introduce Mozart, considered by many to be the greatest virtuoso in the history of the piano.Because of his precocity, and also because of the difficulty and complexity of his compositions. (who doesn't recognize his famous enchanted flute, opera of more than two hours long).Mozart's piano sonatas are among the most difficult to play. And the n °18 offers an impressive technical panel. Variations of rhythms, changes of fingering and speed. One can clearly say that he is a pianist with great capacities when he masters the Mozart sonatas, and more particularly the n °18.Discover the long history of the piano...The Bolero by Ma urice Ravel (1928)Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful ballets of the XXth Century. Again, you probably heard this music from the AGF Insurance ad in the early 2000s. A beautiful and catchy melody, lasting about 15 minutes. The melody repeats itself regularly during the piece, but variations in crescendo and orchestration give this singular work an original, even unique aspect. So unique that it is to this day the most played ballet piece in the world's great operas since the 1930s, and even at events such as the 1998 World Cup or the closing ceremony of the Sochi Olympics in 2014.The Toccata in D Minor by J.S Bach (1703-1707)Everyone has already heard this music, the reference music written for the organs by Bach. Built in three episodes, it took four years to be written. Controversies ran around it at the beginning, the sulfurous composer Ringck and then Kelliner claiming its origin, but it is ultimately attributed to Bach when he was young.Very quickly returned to popular culture, the XXth gives a timeless aspect to this piece. He is taken to the cinema in Fantasia, Twenty Thousands Leagues under the Sea, The Godfather or even Aviator and Pirates of the Caribbean. The first notes entered history, and a melody as beautiful as that is difficult with accelerations and piano adaptation.Pop music and how difficulty serves successPop songs are part of musical culture. And contrarily to what one can sometimes think, commercial music can be very difficult and can serve as a basis for piano lessons. And require technical aptitudes essential to pianist.Diego, by Michel Berger (1983)In France, Michel Berger is a reference in piano and musical creation. We owe him a very large number of great hits. He wrote songs for himself, but also for the other musicians. And if we had to come out with a song that represents the composer's genius, Diego is the perfect example.A perfectly lapped melody, with the chords linked with fluidity. A difficult song not technically, but in the m anagement of the rhythms and emotions. A real complete piece for playing or learning to play the piano, which is very difficult to make as beautiful as the original piece played by Michel Berger.Find out how, through piano lessons online, Superprof tutors can help you master the depth of emotion the instrument can reflect.Life on Mars by David Bowie (1971)What about this song, which took a new path with the death of David Bowie in 2016. One of his greatest successes is built on a simple piano melody, but of rare intensity.Although it can be considered repetitive, this music (much like that of Michel Berger) is based on intensity, on raising the crescendo intensity.Which gives in the end a cult melody, of which it is difficult to transcribe the emotion. A certain time of practice of the piano is necessary since this music is difficult to play. The greatest artists of the twentieth century were pianists of high level. David Bowie is an example.Georgia On My Mind by Ray Charles (1960)Pi anists who are interested in the musical culture around their instrument know that jazz is a genre apart. It's not given to everybody to be able to play it. And Ray Charles is probably the greatest virtuoso in this field. And not just because he was blind. His music is complete, timeless, and also very difficult to transcribe. This is one of Ray Charles's most outstanding romantic pieces. The difficulty in this piece lies not in the rhythm, but in the melody itself. To play this piece, you must feel it, understand it. And to be well aware of the meaning and the words. At Ray Charles, the two are related. That is the difficulty.Great and difficult movie musicWhile they have taken on a new dimension in recent years, counting just as much as the movies in which they pass, movie scores must, of course, be on this list. They are technically of a very high level and require considerable pianistic capacities. This is not suitable for early piano lessons.People get very excited about playing th e piano when listening to these songs, so the goal is to work on learning the piano to get to play these pieces as quickly as possible.Find the best tutorials for learning the piano! The songs in the Aristocats are mythical! Have you not tried to learn them on the piano?Comptine d'un autre été (Yann Tiersen)No one has forgotten this piano-accordion melody of one of the most popular french films of the early 2000s : Amélie. And this melody composed by one of the best pianists of the world Yann Tiersen is very difficult for a particular reason: it is a piece for a left-handed person. And since 75% of pianists are right-handed, this piece takes on a new dimension. It requires a particular fingering training to be able to adapt to this piece. The difficulty of playing a piece for left-handed and the speed of this piece make it doubly difficult. For a piece that remains beautiful, and that I advise.Fly (Untouchable, by Ludovico Einaudi)We all shed our little tears while listening to this sublime music. A relatively fast and very rhythmic melody. This piece requires considerable dexterity and a relatively soft feel. It is obviously not given to everyone. It is a music based on speed, arpeggios and chords. But all in the emotion and sweetness of a very loud piece, and that will remain like a great moment of cinema music. Music plays a lot on the success of a movie. Untouchables proves it.Interstellar soundstrack (Hans Zimmer)Ah, the master Hans Zimmer. Worthy successor to John Williams, this German is THE reference in movie music. And the least that can be said is that with the soundtrack of Interstellar, he gave it all he had. A lengthly song, with rhythmic and melodic accelerations. It is an all-powerful and all-crescendo piece. As in a lot of music by Hans Zimmer, the song's basis is not technically very hard. It is the rhythmic changes and variations of sound that make this piece a model of movie scores. The piano is a prestigious instrument so honor it!Tackle the har der pieces to learn the pianoPlaying the piano with challenging pieces helps you to learn your musical limits. And above all, it is the opportunity to progress quickly by playing the piano. Here, no music school or music theory, nor arpeggio! What is a Rectangular Prism
What is a Rectangular Prism What is a Rectangular Prism? In geometry, a prism is a solid object which has identical bases with flat faces, and same cross-section throughout its length. A rectangular prism is a solid box-shaped 3-dimensional object whose faces are all rectangles. A rectangular prism has a total 6 flat faces and all angles are at right angles as shown in the figure below. A rectangular prism consists of 2 rectangular bases and 4 rectangular sides. The bases are congruent and parallel to each other. Since every prism is a polyhedron (solid with flat faces), hence it does not consist of any curved sides. The same is applied to a rectangular prism and hence it is also a polyhedron with no curved sides. A rectangular prism has 8 vertices, 6 faces and 12 edges as shown in the figure below. We can find plenty of examples of rectangular prisms in the world, including the very room we are sitting in. Some of the examples are skyscraper buildings, a room, a box etc. Diagonal of a Rectangular Prism: The diagonal of a rectangular prism is the line drawn to connect the opposite vertices. Finding the diagonal length is very useful in various calculations. We can calculate the diagonal of a rectangular prism if we know the measurements of the prisms length, width and the height. Let the length be = l, width = w, and height = h. Then the diagonal of a rectangular prism, d = (l2 + w2 + h2). Example: How much is the diagonal length of a rectangular prism whose length is 7m, width is 4m and height is 3m? Given that length l = 7m, width w = 4m and height, h = 3m. Diagonal of a rectangular prism, d = (l2 + w2 + h2). Hence applying the above formula, we get: d = (72 + 42 + 32). This gives us d = (49 + 16 + 9) = 74. Now, 74 can be approximated to its decimal value as 8.6m. Hence 8.6m is the diagonal length of the given rectangular prism! Lateral Area of a Rectangular Prism: Lateral Area of a rectangular prism is the area of the faces of the prism, excluding its bases. This implies that we actually consider the area of only 4 faces of the prism and do not calculate the area of the 2 bases of the prism. This only gives us the lateral area of the rectangular prism. We can find the lateral area of the rectangular prism using the formula as shown below: Lateral Area of a Rectangular Prism = Perimeter of the Base * Height L = P * h Since we are finding lateral area of a rectangular prism, hence the perimeter of the base is nothing but the perimeter of the base rectangle. We know that the perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of all its sides. This gives us that the Perimeter of a rectangle, P = 2l + 2w (where l = length and w = width) of the rectangular prism. Hence the Lateral Area of a Rectangular prism can now also be written as: Lateral Area of a Rectangular Prism = Perimeter of the Base * Height L = P * h L = (2l + 2w) * h Or L = 2lh + 2wh (l = length, w = width, h = height) Example: Calculate the lateral area of a rectangular prism if given that the length is 7m, width is 4m, and height is 3m. Given that length l = 7m, width w = 4m and height, h = 3m. Lateral area of the rectangular prism, L = Perimeter of the base * Height L = 2lh + 2wh == L = (2* 7* 3) + (2* 4 * 3) == L = 42 + 24 = 66 Hence, the Lateral Area, L = 22m * 3m = 66m2 or 66 square meters. Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism: Surface area of a rectangular prism is the surface area of all the faces of the prism. Since surface area includes the area of all the 6 faces of the prism, hence this is also known as the Total Surface Area of a rectangular prism. In order to calculate the surface area of a rectangular prism, we use the formula as shown below: Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism = Lateral Area + (2 * Area of the Base) S = L + (2 * B) Since the Lateral area is 2lh + 2wh, we can plug-in its formula in the place of L. Now, the area of the base is nothing but the area of the base rectangle. Area of a rectangle = length * width. Therefore, the area of the base, B = l * w Hence the Surface Area of a Rectangular prism can now also be written as: Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism = Lateral Area + (2 * Area of the Base) S = L + (2 * B) (Since L = 2lh + 2wh and B = l*w) S = 2lh + 2wh + 2lw (l = length, w = width, h = height) Example: Calculate the surface area of a rectangular prism if given that the length is 6m, width is 3m and height is 5m. Given that length l = 6m, width w = 3m and height, h = 5m. Surface Area of the rectangular prism, S = 2lh + 2wh + 2lw Hence, S = (2* 6* 5) + (2* 3* 5) + (2 * 6 * 3) == S = 60 + 30 + 36 = 126m2 Volume of a rectangular prism: Volume of a rectangular prism can be defined as the space available inside the prism. To understand this, we can take an example of a room. The space available within the room tells us about its volume. Similarly the space available within a rectangular prism gives us its volume. In order to find the Volume of a rectangular prism, we can use the below formula: Given the length = l, width = w and height = h Volume of a rectangular prism, V = length * width * height V = l * w * h Example: Calculate the volume of a rectangular prism if given that the length is 6m, width is 3m and height is 5m. Given that length l = 6m, width w = 3m and height, h = 5m. Volume of the rectangular prism, V = l * w * h Hence, Volume, V = 6m * 3m * 5m = 90m2

Difference between Job and Work Hi there, Im Harry and welcome to English in a Minute brought to you by englishlessonviaskype.com Today we want to talk to you about the words job and work. And how they are the same but also how they are different. And how we use them so we look at them in terms of their synonymous features. They can be both used as nouns. Job as a noun and work as a noun. I love my job. I love my work. Exactly the same. I am looking for work.Im looking for a job. Exactly the same. The work is done. The job is done. Exactly the same. The work is finished. The job is finished. Exactly the same. So we can see here as a noun they are exactly the same. However, when we want to use work as a verb, which it is to work. We cant use job as a verb. We cant say to job Ok. So we can only say: I have to work today.I have to work tomorrow.I have to work next week. But we cant say: I have to job today. I have to job tomorrow. I have to job next week. Job is only a noun. So they are similar wh en we use them as nouns. But when were using as a verb, we can only use to work.Ok.
